Boston College coach Steve Donahue believes players that transferred from the Eagles did the team a favor.

A host of players transferred from Boston College when Al Skinner didn't return following the 2009-10 season.

"In all honesty, when guys have left my program, whether I was an assistant at Penn or head coach at Cornell, I never was very disappointed," Donahue said.

"I don't mean to be cold about that, but, to me, the success of my teams has been, everybody's bought into what we do. So, they're almost doing us a service by being honest and saying, 'This isn't for me?' "
